Tech 18

Tech 18 is for the textile industry, zinc die casting, printing and any situation in which wear is caused by sliding surfaces and chemcial corrosion.

Tech 18 is a significant advance in surface engineering technology. The surface of a metal part is modified first to harden the outer surface and form a unique, porous oxide on the surface. Porosity is filled using ceramic particles. During the fill process, chemical reactions cause the ceramic to be chemically bonded to the substrate material. The bonding creates improved surface strength, hardness and corrosion resistance.
